The Old Rockers That Have Spanned Generations, AC/DC sold out concerts around the country within minutes when they went on sale recently, prompting promoters to claim it was the fastest selling show to ever hit Australia. Dates and venues (including a VFL clash) are still being finalised, but second and third concerts were being added to their February 2010 tour, after long queues snapped up the first concerts on offer. |

After touring Europe, the Aussies return to the States in July for more shows — including five stadium gigs. After more than three decades of arena rock on the books, don’t expect AC/DC to mix it up now — thunderous beats, blues-drenched buzzsaw riffs and Brian Johnson’s trademark growl will all be present. And expect Angus Young’s guitar-wielding, duck walking schoolboy alter ego to take center stage. “He’s like Clark f…… Kent!” Johnson once told us of Young. “He goes into a phone booth and comes out as the 14-year-old imp, ready to rock!”
